I don't know if you remember this, but I was watching John Kerry give his concession speech after he knew he had lost to George W. Bush in 2004. There was a close vote count in Ohio and the votes were just not there for Kerry. I always think back to this quote from his concession speech.

"And I say to them now: Don't lose faith. What you did made a difference.

And building on itself, we go on to make a difference another day.

I promise you, that time will come, the time will come, the election will come, when your work and your ballots will change the world. And it's worth fighting for."--John Kerry 2004

Four years later Obama was elected and the world was changed. Much of it due to the young folk vote.
