@BlackAzizAnansi @lxbrito @janie @revolt3d I didn't. I joined for Science Mastodon because it was where many colleagues were moving to. I was looking for diversity in ideas within my discipline which is lacking currently but this likely has more to do with my almost complete lack of skill with this platform.

@dralgaegirl not the best but it was a good trip. She got to see a bunch of old friends. Next time I'll see the campus in action

@dralgaegirl my friend sister in law passed from cancer and it was her funeral/wake. She is originally from Buffalo. Hit Duff's (of course) and dealt with a few inches of lake effect. She wanted me to come along for moral support.

@albireo @dralgaegirl I would argue that they don't read the instructions. This is why I wait 24-48 to answer emails at the beginning of the semester then respond that the answer is in the syllabus. Really cuts down on the problems later in the semester.
@lxbrito @BlackAzizAnansi @janie @revolt3d my understanding is Elon only gets paid when there is a click and if I'm never on I can't click. I can of course be wrong about that.
@lxbrito @BlackAzizAnansi @janie @revolt3d why should we kill Twitter? Why not just sequester the Twits over there in their own echo chamber and let them "own" each other. You kill Twitter all of them have nowhere to go and will begin migrating here.
