Thank you so much! EFAP might be closest to what I’m looking for so I’ll check it out. I’m in Ireland so my local radio might be of a different flavour, but it wouldn’t be a bad thing to get a better idea of what’s going on in the community.
Thanks again
Are there any good, apolitical right-leaning podcasts out there?
Initial disclaimer: I’m very much a progressive person. Recently listening to podcasts like Heavyweight, Reply All, Invisibilia, Underunderstood etc, I noticed that while the episode - or podcast overall - is investigative journalism lite, something incidental but progressive might happen (using the correct pronouns for a trans person, for example.) I also recently rewatched the Some More News episode on why conservative comedy is so awful, which sparked my pondering. So… while I’m not interested in veering to the right, this did get me wondering what content might be out there that I’ve not been exposed to at all. Are there (relatively) apolitical podcasts out there that mirror those lite journalism examples above?
I’ve actually had the opposite happen: my endo was diagnosed by a male doctor and he was great, but I’ve since gone through several consultants of both genders who just don’t give a flying fuck. I wonder if it’s the case that if your female doctor experiences their period as minor discomfort, then they might actually be more dismissive? So it’s basically the luck of the draw in my experience, and it’s so exhausting having to keep trying to get someone to care.
Side note, the amount of times getting pregnant has been suggested is incredible. I don’t want kids, but even if I did, using them as a ‘cure’ is a terrible reason to bring a person into the world.
Oh so that was a non sequitur unrelated to the podcast link posted, since you didn’t specifically criticise that specific podcast?
Robert Evans is a journalist btw
