Looking at the Stellaris reviews on Steam, of which it has overwhelmingly positive, I notice some negative reviews complaining about DLC and saying Paradox is turning into The Sims. a) this is nothing new for Paradox, b) what some people call DLC abuse, I call continued development. What do you think about DLC when it funds continued development of a game?
Website: "The password you are want isn't strong enough". Reality: "Your 20 length password is too long and is confusing our server." This is a major financial institution we are talking about and they can't get their authentication services working right?
As a hobbyist programmer with a focus on Python, should I use something straightforward like Pycharm or invest time into learning a more advanced tool like Emacs? I know one is an IDE and one is an editor. What do you think?
I have discovered the best way to remain productive at night on tasks/hobbies is my Logitech Soundblaster Headphones and a smooth Jazz live youtube channel. I wish I could do this at work, but using headphones at work isn't allowed 😞
I tried using my wife's Macbook for iOS development since I don't own one. I don't think it will work out because whenever I use her computer, every little thing that goes wrong becomes my fault.
I'm still somewhat of a novice Linux user. The most helpful tools I have discovered recently is symlinking for linking a file from one location to another. The second tool is Resilio Sync, which allows me to sync files between my home computer and, when combined with symlinks, works for game saves also. The last is Barrier for sharing my keyboard and mouse across my computers. What are your most useful tools?
Tried upgrading my system to Ubuntu 18.10 and it won't start the UI. Probably my fault for going with the manually installed Nvidia drivers. I think I am going to do a wipe and re-install.
On the left, my work station at work. On the right, my workstation at home. Something isn't right here.
Decided to try #Vivaldi again. Having side tabs without and plug in and a nice power search feature really appeals to me.
One of my biggest issues is that I want to learn machine learning, dev ops, game development, computer repair, ethical hacking and app development. I am fascinated about all of them, but don't have nearly enough time to learn all of them.
