More than 25 have lost lives, children are being beaten in custody, there is also allegations of rape in custody of Muslim boys from an orphanage, many many are facing illegal arrests, detention and cases filed against them . We are only protesting a bill which discriminates Indian Muslims, we are not even protesting the state. Spread the word

Manimugdha SharmaI must thank my amazing Urdu ustad, a Jamia professor, and my Farsi ostad, an Iranian, for being wonderful teachers who went out of their way to help me learn the languages. They are Muslims who never discriminated against any of their non-Muslim students. The world over, it happens like this.
But in this unfolding Hindu Rashtra, we only have hate and more hate and communal thuggery. I see only desperation and stupidity all around. This will drag us down further and shame us internationally.
Assigning a faith to a language isn't new in India. Urdu was seen as the language of the Muslims and so was discarded in favour of Hindi in free India. Now, Sanskrit has become the language of Hindus. The ideology of hate that dominates today will continue to further this.
Imagine if Muslims also behaved like this and said non-Muslims can't learn Urdu, Arabic or Farsi. Immense treasures of knowledge and learning would be out of bounds or us then. But thank god that Muslims are sensible people.
