RLabs/xs: Update v0.9.2-pre updates

- packets now use EtA per Krawczyk2001 (cautionary as it refers to block not stream modes, but better safe than sorry) https://bit.ly/36sALzi
- authToken logic fixes to drop privs for writing authtoken files to assure proper ownership
- authToken logic fixes to allow connecting to remote as other users

xs - Alternative to ssh, written from scratch in Go. Post-Quantum KEM with traffic chaffing and SLACK!

Overly technical software installation is a huge blocker for most people. This stops people from using privacy-protecting Operating Systems like #Linux.

If we are to get people into #foss products that are better for #privacy, please add "simple installation" to your issues list if you #dev or #market software.

Merry Christmas everyone.. may your dreams be symbolic #APL #programming

The inconvenient truth is that there is no such thing as a backdoor that only lets the good guys in. The EU's resolution on encryption, released yesterday, could result in a net decrease of everyone's privacy and security: https://protonmail.com/blog/eu-attack-on-encryption/
EU resolution paves the way for future anti-encryption laws

The Council of the EU released a non-binding resolution that calls for tech companies to find technical solutions to let authorities access encrypted data.

All right, here we go again: RLabs/xs: Updated v0.8.26 release adds FrodoKEM - Alternative to ssh, written from scratch in Go. Post-Quantum KEM with traffic chaffing and SLACK! https://gogs.blitter.com/RLabs/xs #ssh #crypto #encryption #golang (This time, getting the ‘KEM’ part less-wrong)
RLabs/xs

A simple alternative to ssh (<5% total SLOCC) written from scratch in Go. A testbed for candidate PQC (post-quantum cryptography) KEMs (Key-Encapsulation Mechanisms) and symmetric session encryption algorithms. xs also features integrated traffic chaffing to obscure interactive session and file copy activity, and is intended as a playground for other attack-resistance techniques. Runs on Linux, FreeBSD, Windows (client only, MSYS) and Android (within Termux).

Oops, v0.8.26 has been temporarily yanked. Those responsible have been sacked. Currently discussing possible API issues with the FrodoKEM library’s author. Stay tuned. v0.8.25 is still just fine until then. Fnord.
