Why does this quest involve fighting so many birds

so many birds

But I did it!

I know I've got 2.5 hours left on this fight, but somehow it's really just looking more and more like one I'm gonna lose.

I started using a spreadsheet for my book outlines, so that I could estimate scene length and then use those totals to estimate total book length.

This has worked quite well on average. I do sometimes wildly over- or underestimate the length of a scene, but most times it's close, and the under/overestimates cancel out.

My very favorite part, though, is going in to update the "actual word count" when I finish a scene. I can tell how many words are left until the end!
