@cozykaffe That's what fluoride toothpaste does. The fluoride ions displace chloride ions to form a more resistant coating than natural tooth enamel.

@cozykaffe I think we saw a question on the physics stackexchange about this just the other day, actually. It's really just inertia; the ice cubes are only attached to the rotating cup through the viscosity of the fluid in the cup, and drinks tend to have a very low viscosity.
