Sony CDP-710 playing a CD with auto-spacing enabled, which inserts a 3-second gap between tracks.
Tascam MD-301 MkII with auto-track enabled, which advances the track number after 2 seconds of silence.

the fact that this is happening with no communication between them outside of audio data is amazing to me
