Shady Brady’s To Premier Tonight!

Shady Brady's, a short comedy about a chance meeting between two people who met once before but only one of them can remember their steamy night, will premier tonight on the Community TV of Santa Cruz program Phil Harmonic Presents. It's an interview/panel show on which we will view the movie then discuss it. There will also be live music from a local jam band (they're good!).

Shady Brady’s To Premier This Friday

My short comedy movie Shady Brady's will make its premier this Friday January 23 on Phil Harmonic Presents, a program on Community Television of Santa Cruz at 7PM PST. Show can be watched locally on cable 27, cable 73 in Watsonville, or online, just go to this link and click the 27/73 tab. Phil's program is an hour long interview show with a musical guest.

Projects For 2026

Happy 2026! May it be an improvement over 2025. Got a few things happening in 2026, here they are: My short movie Shady Brady’s has a tentative premier, Friday January 23rd on Community TV of Santa Cruz at 7PM PST. It'll be on the CTV live program Phil Harmonic Presents, a panel interview show with live music. We'll air the movie then discuss it in between musical interludes.

Shady Brady’s In Post Production

My comedic short movie Shady Brady's, based on my short story Diridon Station, has been shot (more about that adventure here) and is now in the editing process. This process has been challenging for my editor because of the rush job I employed when we were shooting on location in Oakland's Rockridge neighborhood. The camera work is shaky in spots, lighting is dim because we shot under a tree to avoid sun glare, and we didn't shoot a lot…

Adventures In Short Movie Making

I recently finished shooting all the scenes for my next short movie Shady Brady's, a comedy based on my short story Diridon Station. I shot one scene on Friday August 22 in a house in Santa Cruz. The scene will be about a minute long and shooting took just under an hour, which is light speed compared to most movie making.
