Tardily sharing some of the fun stuff I was up to in Japan. First up, I drove Toyota's EV with a fake manual transmission for Ars Technica.

I know what you're thinking: a pantomime gearbox must be lame, right? I'm as surprised as you to report that the experience is superb. I was immediately won over.

@BenjaminAhr It didn't break any barriers but they stuck the landing.

The best bit was watching it with SWIMD and having a good chat about our favourite parts right after.
