When Jessica steps back, the Scotswoman fires up again and send a column of violet flames surging right at Nemesis. The entity is able to deflect the fire briefly at first, but soon her reserves of extradimensional power run dry. Ridley's assault then singes off Nemesis's hair and chars most of her face, though she isn't completely defeated.

...Yet.

"Nice of ya t'show, girlie!" Ridley remarks to the human timeship, before vulcanizing the dirt around Nemesis to hardened glass with white-hot flames. "We may no' have another chance at this!"

"Aye," she replies with a wicked grin, igniting herself in violet flames, "Once more unto the breach."

In a coordinated advance, Alterna opens a portal for the two women that brings them right up to Nemesis. Ridley immediately directs a huge stream of fire towards the villain, which glances off an unseen force field around her.

@SongAFlame "Then don't come with me. I'm sure we can manage without you."
@SongAFlame "Because /somethin'/ makes you different from her. Otherwise, there would be two Blues. And that does no' strike me as a good thing."
"I donnae have time for this."
@SongAFlame "Ach!" Ridley rubs her hands down her face. "Listen, this is gonnae happen whether ye like it or not. So, can I count ye in?"
@SongAFlame "You're a being of this world, aren't ye? Stand to reason ye would'nae want t'see it destroyed."
@SongAFlame "Well, then it's probably good that she's sittin' this one out. Grief is no' a proper motivator in a situation such as this."
@SongAFlame "What, did she break her favorite tea kettle or something?" Ridley smirks in admiration of her own 'cleverness'.
