Rhian wheels up to Chloe and takes her hand. “Immortality is a monumental responsibility to bear, Chloe. I’ve been immortal for nearly 500 years, and the moments that I could’ve changed… You’ll get a feel for history that will allow you a unique hindsight… and foresight.”

@BlueDeathCheatr Rhian’s disability prevents her from taking part in the procedure, but she’s good friends with the chief of surgery at this hospital, so she knows Chloe is in excellent hands.

Halimbrea, predictably, flatlines in the OR, but quickly regains consciousness once her liver regrows. Chloe, on the other hand, comes out of the operating room with not so much as a scar.

She smiles up at her wife. “Could I ask you for this favor, my love?”
