Ambivalence
The definition of this word sums up my feelings for the upcoming Southampton season. “The state of having mixed feelings or contradictory ideas about something or someone.” It's a team built for a promotion fight in the championship, and a top 4 finish at the end of the season is more than realistic. This should be positive and I should be excited for this season, but with the scars of last season still there, I cant get excited.
An end of season review
Earlier in the season I attempted to right a review of each Southampton game. I gave up after about 8 weeks due to the shocking performances from the start. The same issues that have plagued the side for several years including the Championship season weren't solved and in fact were emphasised with Martin's style of play. The back four have been prone to mistakes and haven't been able to hold any lead.

A poor man’s mock Seahawks draft
So it's draft season, and I thought I'd have a look at the Seahawks draft and predict what position group they will go with each pick. I haven't gone through the eligible players, so I'm not going down that rabbit hole. 1st Round 18th pick - Offensive Line. I think they'll take the best Guard available. They also might trade this pick backwards for an extra third rounder.

The end of an era?
Other than Fact to File, all the big name horses got beat at this year's Cheltenham Festival. This might be the end of an era for racing. I doubt those beat horses such as Constitution Hill and Jonbon, will race in big festival races again. As for Galopin Des Champs I don't think they will go for the Gold Cup next year.

The big names are struggling
The bookies are having a great Cheltenham Festival. Fact to File is the only big name to win so far this week. Only two favourites won today which has been the trend for this week. It may change tomorrow of course but there is value in looking at the 7/1 shots that will run tomorrow. Today wasn't as successful as yesterday as I only had 1 winner today, ironically that was the other favourite that won today.

Day 2 = Profit
Who knew betting against Jonbon would lead to profits. I knew thats who and from now on I'll bet against Jonbon every chance I get while they continue to race. Today's Queen Mother Champion Chase highlighted why. A simple jumping mistake lead to an 18 length defeat. Don't get me wrong Marine Nationale is a quality horse who I backed to win today but Jonbon was simply too short a price today.
Cheltenham’s first day
Two winners, unfortunately, both were odds on favourites, but winners are winners. The sad part of the day was seeing the end of an era with Constitution Hill falling. It's probably too early to say, but that was likely Constitution Hill's last race. As I previously wrote, the horse will go down as one of the all-time great. Moving away from Cheltenham and switching sports and 6 really excited for this Seahawks off-season.

The Dibling dilemma
I can certainly understand why Dibling wants to leave this season. As a fan, I want to leave. It's been that wretched for most of it. However, I've cursed myself, and he has a chance to get out. However, I don't think this is the right time for him to go. Several sides have shown an interest in him, and the figures rumoured would certainly mean he is sold.
