Well, an update. I took July off from work, including a week in New Zealand. I’m chilling in a hotel today ‘cos my travelling buddy got delayed more-than-a-day getting through LAX.

This would’ve been the tail end of an Anthrocon trip but that fell through for me.

The month has been a much needed rest phase for me. And the trip to NZ turns it from s rest to ‘a trip’ and a real vacation. The lsst time i left the stste was 2019 too.

And all i’ve done so far is lurk and wait near the airport. Not even the roadtripping about NZ or visiting friends yet.

So, “so far so good” I guess?

Just stopping by to give the bad news. Australia got it wrong yesterday with ‘The Voice Referendum’. A clean-sweep for the NO campaign, and all their fearmongering misinformation and proudly displayed racism being rewarded at the polls.

This was a historic opportunity all of Australia has missed.
