I get where you are coming from, that it is a useful thing to have but sometimes self-doubt or insecurities can be debilitating and lead to inaction. It’s should healthy medium like most things in life.
It’s relatable and told in a humorous way, it kinda feels like a nice relative telling you a story as a kid

I absolutely resonate with both your comments, it's the best function reddit served imo. The big mainstream subs were just content factories to create posts to doomscroll through.
In my opinion emojis are great in more casual discussions and they convey a little playfulness. For more serious themes they might be a little inappropriate or appear out of place for some people.
