The audiobook series I started listening to switched narrators between book 1 and book 2. The first narrator was okay. Not my favorite, but reads with inflection and vocal Interest. The 2nd one ends literally _every_ sentence in a tonal downswing like Christine Amanpour reporting from a war zone.
I can’t listen to the series. I keep trying to get over it, but I think it’s impossible. 😢
