I broke out the heating pad for her yesterday and she's hardly left it during the day. Yes, she's spoiled, but she's 13 so it's allowed. :D

Another bit of harvest today bringing our total so far of 350lbs gross. We're out of space to store them, ugh. And estimate another 50lbs or so still hanging which solidly beats are best harvest ever.
Second weekend of harvest. 160lbs today along with a bit over 100 from the last week or so. Still quite a bit to go and we're running out of space to store them, haha
First day of harvest! Small start of 40lbs. I'm guessing we'll get double that next weekend if the weather holds.
Been a busy weekend, lots of cooking. Yesterday was chicken broth and pesto. Today was salsa, blackberry muffins and cobbler.
Also, grapes are turning, harvest is only a few weeks away!
I need a weekend to rest from the weekend....
And my first attempt at wild blackberry jam. I think UK folks call them bramble berries?

This tree has (sadly) been dead for years, finally got around to taking it down. Naturally it refused to fall the direction I intended. But at least it's one less thing to worry about!
Now... time to make blackberry jam.
Wild berry bush growing along my fence line. I've never harvested from it before but this year I'm trying it out, so many berries! I think I'm going to make jam.
The wine for 2022 is bottled and labeled! Now to let it sit and settle for a bit.
