@Meyerweb For proof that this country is bottoming out, one has to look no further than Florida. The notion that 49 states are allowing American people to be treated the way they are is unacceptable. We’ve gone to war with other countries over less.
Here is a photograph of a very old cemetary where my grandparents rest in NE Arkansas. It is only a stone’s throw from the St Francis River near Lake City. I love the awesomeness of the old entryway that remains after what must be more than 100 years. And then there’s the trees. One mighty tree over a century old, dead from age and weather… the other (behind it) a new sprout of life. This place means a lot to me. 🙂
For funzies — here’s my wife and I from over 50 years ago. I like to tell people that I was saddling up to go find her. 😁 We’ve now been married over 40 years.
@rbreich In Arkansas, Sarah Huckabee signed an E.O. last week ordering all her cabinet members get substantial raises which now has them paid more than some members of the US Congress. In other terms, it’s almost double the wages that other states pay the same positions. I read these raises totaled more than $250,000 per year. It should be investigated, IMO.

I have developed this new uncontrollable love for chocolate milk. My addiction has me doing about 2 gallons per week now and I can see my previous tight girlie figure going to hell. I had a 34 waist that has now ballooned into a 36 overalls with the top buttons unfastened. 😳 I need to stop but … damn that stuff is good.
