In 2003, the gritty citizens of a small village in #Malaysia took the govt to court to block the construction of what would have been the largest municipal waste incinerator in Asia. Alice Lee, a local resident, campaigned tirelessly against the construction – eventually leading to the termination of the project in 2007.
