The US embassy is not a trustworthy source. But Yemen gave the ship clear warnings before attacking it. The ship’s captain ignored them and should be held responsible. Obviously that’s not how the world works and Western powers once more will attack Yemen for the crime of exercising their sovereignty and standing with Palestine against the genocide.
