I read a few days ago that 50,000 African American men together gave $1.3 millon to Kamala Harris's campaign. Is there a similar way for vegans to give together to highlight vegan support for her?
Saw my Doc again for more high blood pressure medicine. I have been vegan for seven months now. Since my last blood test six months ago, my LDL cholesterol stayed about the same, 103 (had been 134 prior to going vegan). My kidney eGFR went up again to 69 from 67 (had been 51 before going vegan). So all around good news. My blood pressure is responding to medication, now averaging 128 over 76 (was in the 150 over 84 range).

I think the FDA has an important regulatory role to protect the consumer. But it also has the role of promoting agriculture. This is a conflict of interest.

@EllieK Yes, I have tried to eliminate salt from my diet as much as I can. I watched Dr. Greger's video. He's funny! I will try to get my hands on some ground flax seed! Thanks, Ellie!
