The talented Melissa Riccobono & I are spending the weekend with our blind students at the Midwest Student Seminar. This network of blind students was criticl for us in developing our own understanding and career choices.
This week the National Federation of the Blind learned that Vispero has changed its chief executive officer, appointing an interim CEO while a permanent replacement is identified. We expect to meet with the interim leader soon and remain hopeful about continuing a constructive partnership on products that significantly affect the education and employment of blind people, especially during this critical time for screen-reader users.
So much positive energy and advocacy enthusiasm among those who have made it to DC for our Washington Seminar. Grateful to all those back home who are doing their part and advancing the cause. Learn more and Tune in at 5 pm Eastern tonight
http://www.nfb.org/washington-seminarTogether with hope, energy, and love, we transform dreams into reality in the National Federation of the Blind. During my time here in India, I had the opportunity to experience the Taj Mahal. This beautiful structure is a testiment and symbol of the power of love. I am brssed to have had the experienceas I feel blessed to be part of the Federation family.
i have boarded a United flight at Newark headed to Deli, India. It is my honor to serve as an officer of the World Blind Union on behalf of the North American Caribbean Region and the National Federation of the Blind. I am eagerly anticipating the opportunity to experience the culture of the country and spend time learning about the experience of the blind of India and other nations. Time to settle in for a long trip.
I encourage all in our community to tune in to the
