Just your average evening walk.

It is past midnight here in Adelaide, Australia, so Merry Christmas everyone.

Here's another shot of the Christmas tree in State Library of South Australia.

Well colour me amazed - an old Windows work app (needs Internet Explorer or Edge for the Click installer) actually works on a Mac running the ARM version of Windows 11 in a UTM, emulating an Intel CPU.

Season's Greetings from South Australia.

Photo taken in State Library's Mortlock Wing. I didn't have my tripod with me... oops.

Just a thought about RCS, the SMS replacement. The way I see it is that Google, impatient with carriers implementing it, introduced their own servers to bypass the carrier (or lack of) servers. If this is the case, does the Messages app on Android route through Google's servers, which is why Messages cam offer end-to-end encryption?

If all this is true, how is it different from any other messaging service like WhatsApp and iMessage?

Just a small tip for those looking for Adobe Creative Cloud. Check to see whether your employer has an enterprise licence.

Just found out that my work has and I can use it on my home machine as well as work machine. I have been paying A$14.25 for the photography plan, but now have access to the whole CC suite.

There are restrictions like, not for commercial use on my own machine, but suits me fine.

A couple of photos from my walk today.
When I started my 3D printing journey two weeks ago, I didn't know I could print a NASA inspired chainmail fabric, but here we are.

Recently bought myself a 3D printer - Creality Ender 3 V2 New. I've had less than two weeks and having fun with it. Still experimenting with tweaks to give the best possible prints.

One change I've made already is to print a different spool holder to move the filament spool to the side to prevent the filament snagging on the feed mechanism.
