There is really no reason for Musk to meddle in UK affairs unless he’s supporting Putin’s plan to destroy western democracies. Musk doesn’t live here and none of his companies are based here.
I’m not saying that it is the only solution, but surely any fair and balanced discussion wouldn’t just look at government spending but also at what revenue government takes in. Seems we are not having an honest discussion right now, and I don’t understand why not.
It’s seems odd that when the richest man on earth ever is looking to slash government spending that absolutely no one is asking him if an alternative solution is for people like him to pay more? Like why is this not part of the conversation?
If you need to hold your breath and check your “store of value” every five minutes to see if it has held its value, it’s not really a very good “store of value”, is it.
If an unelected Elon Musk gets to cut 75% of all the government spends on us, I think it’s only fair that an unelected me gets to cut 75% of what the government spends on Elon Musk.
