Howdy! I'm a mostly talentless shutterbug, somewhat talented narrator, and tech nerd by profession.

After shooting with my fiancee at Longwood Garden, I am convinced I need a mirrorless camera. Considering trading in my old F Lenses and D7100 for the Zfc.

Anyone shoot with it?

#photography

I live in a city that's far too interesting not to be shooting every other weekend.

Uninstalled the bird app. It's just too much nonsense to keep up with. Anyway, as November draws to a close, hope y'all #Nano folk are enjoying it!

In my relentless pursuit of passive income, I'm seriously considering making a video course on audiobook narration via #Udemy

Anyone done something like this? I know people who sell videos for money but most of their work would be inapplicable in this case.

#Nano has been illuminating. I haven't actually written anything in years, and it's been refreshing--and humbling--to dip back in. Though I'll almost certainly fail this endeavor, it has given me an idea that I might actually be able to act on.

In narration, there's about 9,300 words in one hour of uninterrupted spoken audio. Let's cut that in half, call it 4,500 words.

That's an episode. That's a half hour. That's doable.

Wish me luck.

Good morning, Mastodon!

How goes #Nano? Because it's pretty much stopped for me lolol. I sit down, compose a few paragraphs, and then delete them in a fury of "Why is this never good enough".

What a humbling month.

Halfway through #Nano and what's my word count? Hah, I'm not merely halfway through, I'm not even one quarter through! I've totally lost the plot. Let me tell you, some people fail gracefully, but not me!

A thought: what if you and another user could share blocked users? Not just via this site, but any? I know block lists have been around forever, but catering it so that you and another user can share your blocks specifically might be interesting.

"Hey, Google! Play music similar to the Persona 5 soundtrack."

"Got it. Playing 'Greatest Hits of Acid Jazz'."

well dang I didn't actually expect that but this is great!

Anyway, enough with the heavy stuff. Today is gonna be consequential and I'm not ready for it, but it's coming regardless. So. Focus on what I CAN control.

Specifically, what shall I have for lunch? I'm thinking Wawa. That mf Gobbler is too good to be denied!

Not sure if this is everyone's cup of tea, but music like this is something I tend to put on and zone out to when working from home. If my ears are distracted, my eyes and brain can pay attention.

Does that make sense to anyone?
