Sean M PuckettIf you just have one account on one instance, you may not realize that Mastodon federation -- the means by which toots are sent from instance to instance -- is not instantaneous.
It may be seconds or minutes for a toot to traverse even directly connected instances. This depends on server load and how many messages are in the queue.
