Reading this, on decentralized networks. The Web I grew up with (we Old People) was largely decentralised. Most of the good conversation, the really juicy stuff, happened in smaller corrals, forums and groups. Many of us who took early to litblogging became writers — Laila Lalami from Moorish Girl is probably the most famous. (I was Hurree Babu over at Kitabkhana.)
Big doesn't equal better. It's such a relief to be here and exploring again.
