In light of the BBC's recent addition to Mastodon with their own top-level social.bbc domain, I think this is of particular importance for the CBC to join Mastodon. So far they are resistant, as evidenced by this statement:

"In an editor's blog, CBC News editor-in-chief Brodie Fenlon has suggested audiences follow the broadcaster on TikTok and other apps, such as Gem and CBC Listen."

The decentralized Fediverse is exactly where CBC should be, especially with this attack on Canadian journalism.

Why do some websites not have one or more #RSS feeds. Do they feel they will get more traffic forcing people to visit their site everyday? Is it ad related? Not sure how to implement? Perhaps just don’t know about RSS feeds (feeds are old school right?)

Does your site have an RSS Feed (please boost)?

@ZachWeinersmith Actual, built-in microtransactions, as a standard protocol. Not "a few dollars for a cool skin" but "fractions of a penny to view this page" and a way for users to easily manage that/try samples/etc. So much of the internet would be better if the people viewing your content were the customers instead of the product.
If it’s not available via an RSS feed it’s not a podcast.
@robsonfletcher My almost 2yo did the same with crackers this weekend. He wanted daddy to tape them back together like I have for pop up books. He tried to fix it himself, but kept breaking it further, and was inconsolable. I feel like there is a metaphor in there.
