No. Not even slightly. Fifteen years ago reddit was still far bigger and more active than the fediverse.
20's: "Don't look up."

I bought a new netbook last year to watch stuff on as my old one from like 10 years ago finally fell apart.

I fucking hate the new Windows so much and I'm not techy enough to change the operating system to something better, so I barely use it as watching stuff on my phone is easier.

These are great till you live somewhere with shitty electric. On the days when my ecig takes 6 hours to charge I can't cook as the hot plate won't even turn on. Fucking slumlords.
Inverted World by Christopher Priest is kinda this.

Is sharing memes to relative communities on the fediverse/reddit talking to yourself? Do you go to comment threads to talk to yourself and to see other people talking to themselves?

Posting or reblogging a meme to/from a meme tag on tumblr, isn't something I'd consider 'talking' to anyone. Nor would a news article be, or anything else that I mentioned above.
A great many popular tumblr posts have no notes or conversational reblogs either, as they're just photos of cool looking frogs or memes or images of stuff like that.

If you really want to, you can make posts to the fediverse/reddit/tumblr/etc that are just you talking to yourself.

If you're funny, interesting or popular enough, some people might even come to talk to you on your post, or read and upvote/reblog you.

If enough people do this, the algorithm picks it up and lots of people get to see you talking to yourself till other people join in.

And if it's a funny/interesting enough post, the content might even be screenshotted and shared across platforms.

What do you think is more likely to be screenshotted and shared across platforms: a funny/interesting conversation, or a really popular picture of a frog that has no comments?
And what do you think there is more of on tumblr?

Doesn't 'homeopathic' mean it's massively dilluted to the point where there's none of the original ingredients?

Or am I missing the joke here?

Usually when dreaming I feel much more dissociated than I do in day to day real life, and I'm often comfortably around people I somehow know and doing stuff in multiple places that I don't really recognise.

Can be problematic though as in real life if I have to be outside and around people for any length of time, it's usually overwhelmingly sensory to the point where I dissociate.

But this is easily remedied by being a terminally online agoraphobic hermit. Lmao.

Have you ever been on tumblr? I mean like just gone to the website and looked around?

How is reblogging a photo of a frog, 'watching other people talk to themselves'?
