@CiaraNi I would not rely on free wifi availability. In my past trips before eSIMS, a portable mobile hotspot was the way to go. You can rent these from most of the companies already mentioned, they can be delivered to your first hotel, and you just post them back once your trip’s over. These are geared towards tourists and a lot easier to deal with than SIMs, which may require a lot of faff to obtain.

@sakurina I sometimes do this on the same day! Like, if I hit a snag, I’ll go and have a 15 minute nap while thinking about it and I’ll usually have a new idea about how to approach it

I've just filled in the forms to convert my Ethical Stocks & Shares ISA into a Cash ISA.

(Non-UK folk: an ISA is a savings account whose interest and value is untaxed)

It'll take about 30 days to transfer so I really, REALLY hope the stock market doesn't crash until next year
