Shouldn’t have to be taught to treat others with respect or how you would treat yourself
No disrespect, but I disagree. Respect is absolutely a learned behavior.
what ever respectful means is a defined by your culture. What is considered respectful is different in the uk versus the us, at least that’s what thought this post was about.
Kids absolutely need to be taught this. Kids don’t magically share, or treat each other with respect. You teach kids how to be respectful everyday.
When a person crashes a car we didn’t allow tell them to tell us they we are using it wrong, we build in protections. We put in airbags, crumple zones, and seat belts.
Gun manufactures put in safeties, I bet every industry has tried to ensure their product could not be used in a way that is kills their users.
Ai comes in and says, “i mean, really it’s how your using our product, not the product itself. ” they stole apples, “your holding the phone wrong”
Years ago My company did something similar. No managers had any offices, they removed meeting rooms and every row had a collaboration space that was just a conference table next to your desk.
People were working in their cars to get any semblance of privacy. Managers had to have tough conversations in the open because there was no office to go to. Need to lay off someone? Right at their desk next to all their coworkers.
The end of year performance evaluation was so funny, all those managers trying to figure out how to have private conversation without any privacy. They all ended up doing it through IM, ironic.
