FYI O&O ShutUp10++ is a tool that allows you to disable most of Windows user-hostile features (as well as anti-features) from a very simple UI.
It has plain text explanations of what every toggle does, what their effects are on 3rd party software, as well as suggested settings.
It's really useful, you can find it here: https://www.oo-software.com/en/shutup10
all of them? ln, find, sed , awk, df, top, ps, anything with regex. BASH in it's entirety, csh, ksh, (any)sh, top, fdisk, partition, mount, 2>&1.
ls is mostly ok. So is cat.
Hey Canadian nerds! I have held the domain registration for regex.ca for a very long time. When I lived in Canada it was my primary domain, but I haven't used it for years. Does anyone on the fediverse have a good use for it?
I'm going to release it but if you've got a good pitch I'll pay for a 1 year renewal and then transfer it to your ownership.
[edit: @blakecoverett has put https://regex.ca to appropriately goofy, human-centric use. huzzah for the Fediverse!]
Hi friends,
The http://alt-text.org alt text library project needs a new leader, I have brain cancer.
I built a working, scalable, proof of concept library of shared alt text with fuzzy matching.
I'd like to connect with the #accessibility dev community. I want to hand the project off to a team or a leader if anyone is willing to take it over.
