Been on Mastodon for a few years. Just moved to another server. Figured I’d meet other folks.
I used to live in San Fransciso, and moved to the Sierra Foothills. Love horses, cats, dogs, and my husband.
Floki is the cat in the photo. He sleeps in my armpit.
I voted for Kamala.
Scooter, one of my cats, loves to drink out of the birdbath. I think she’s planning something.
This is Scooter; a cat with four eyes.

Here are some pics.

I’d very much like to share with you a few needlepoints I have. Two were made by me, and one by my Norwegian great auntie.

This is the Norwegian queen (or princess) Ingeborg, whose husband (or boyfriend) told her to wait, and he would send a bird to her when he was coming home (I am sure he was out a-Viking). It’s almost 6 feet tall and about 100 years old.

I am honored my Norwegian/Canadian gave it to me.

(The needlepoint is of a woman on the fjord shore with a bracelet of gold and her blonde hair trailing down her back. She wore a bunad which is a stylish dress and a small crown on her head. A blackbird 🐦‍⬛ is settling on her other hand. Her man is coming home.)

Whoever did this is a genius.
Me, wondering where cat#3 is.
Please don’t feed the deer. It attracts mountain lions and in other cases it harms or kills the deer. There is an article at www.deerassociation.com. It’s WHY DID THIS DEER HAVE SUPER LONG HOOVES?
If you feed them inappropriate food, they can founder (the technical term is laminitis).
If you’ve ever had a horse, you know what that is. It’s painful.
I found this young buck by my stable, dead. Look at his hooves. They are about 6 inches long. Read the article, please. If you know about this, great.
And if you see your neighbors feeding them, hand them the article.
Please. It’s a horrid way to go. And in California, it’s illegal.
