"No, I'll be staying home, with Darkstar. I need some quiet time. Just the usual.security around the villa."

While it wasn't unusual for Rufus to spend the night in his quarters in the Shinra Tower, from time to time he did enjoy spending a night at his villa in Sector 8.

Rufus nodded, satisfied. I 𝘸𝘢𝘴 his duty as a leader to make sure everyone's skills were used where it was most fitting.

"Let me know when you're done. Who's on guard duty for tonight?"

@ShinRasComputer "No, that would be all." Rufus says, his eyes still trained on his computer screen.

Only when Lucas makes for the exit, he speaks again.
"And Lucas. I didn't choose the Science Department by chance, nor as a punishment. You're simply the best qualified at interpreting the numbers with a 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘨 eye."

@ShinRasComputer "Mmh." Rufus nodded, already thinking about which reporst could be left to his Turk, and which needed to be reviews by his own eyes.

"I'm sending you the Science Department budget reports. Make sure they are not inflating their expenses only to justify asking for more budget the next year, or to avoid cuts."

Gods knew everyone used that trick at some point or the other... himself included, back in the day.
