Oceans Research is a non-profit organization that conducts and facilitates wildlife management and conservation research in Southern Africa. We offer a diversity of volunteering, internship, and training programs to aspiring marine and terrestrial researchers. We also provide conservation advice to both governmental and non-governmental organizations.

An ecologist explores predator–prey interactions in the intertidal zone by studying a flatworm that preys on small snails. This research uncovers how snail species rely on sensory detection and escape behaviors to avoid predation, providing a real-world example of coevolution in marine ecosystems. Learn more about hands-on marine field research by reading the full blog.
