@arth Nope, in Austria there are no limitations. Hams are happy about any new operators joining the club. There is a very strong initiative to get the youth on air via amateur radio days in schools, YOTA camps, workshops and so on.

@SitaDulip there is a saying, if you are not present on QRZ.com, you do not exist for the other hams. Probably a bit exaggerating, but with a true core. It is very useful to find at least a few infos about other hams and to check if the callsign you copied does really exist. But imho, QRZ is not very good for logging contacts.

@globalc absolutely, the antenna is a key aspect. Once I used a EFHW 2010 for an activation on the 15m band. Of course I failed because the antenna is resonant on 20m and 10m, but not on 15m. Lesson learned, the next attempt was a success. Wish you all the best for your presentation and the next POTA activation.

@globalc don't get discouraged, sometimes it can be tough to get to 10 contacts for a successful POTA activation. Just watch out for the band conditions and change bands if no ones replying for a certain time. You can also chase contacts by calling on their frequencies, especially for park 2 park contacts. Das Exelberg-Relais OE1XQA auf 145,750 MHz ist wieder verfügbar. Vielen Dank an alle, die beim Antennentausch mitgeholfen haben.
