TODO: better bio and a header picture

Okay, so the "Recommended Videos" option for the search results basically remove nonsense such as People Also Watched, Explore More and whatever YouTube feels like shoving at you.

Thing is, I have a feeling maybe this option is broken and not working properly since the whole page seems to disappear, I think I'll turn this off, maybe the update introduced changes to the inner workings which ended up breaking it.

It's not a new feature after all and I would imagine it's also something you need to enable (it's disabled by default).

Actually, I'm not sure if this option is new, it could be the behavior of this option changed.

I know that it got an update, I looked at it on Firefox Addons, it updated today.

Update: The search page "refreshing multiple times" seem to come from my extension called Locked In (yes, a bit of an interesting name) which removes all of the nonsense such as YouTube homepage, shorts and end feed.

Turns out it got an update recently and it added an option which is enabled by default called "Remove Recommended Videos", I know it removes the videos in the search page, not sure what is considered as "recommended videos" though.

The thing is, it hides so many videos that the page reaches instantly to the bottom, causing it to load more videos, looking like it's refreshing.

Autoplay is on?!?! What???? I swear I turned it off, did YouTube just turn it back on against my will?!

Wait?!?! Why did it play the next video??? I thought I had the autoplay turned of?!?!

This is getting weirder.

Woah what the hell?! I searched stuff on YouTube and for some reasons it refreshed the page 3 times?????

#youtube

#AskFedi How do #GoToSocial users do keyword filtering? Is there a client setting (and if so, which clients support it?) or is it somewhere on the server's Settings page (and if so, where can I find it)?

P.S: Actually just viewing my notifications do mark it as read, but it has a considerable delay. I'm not sure if the way Mastodon handles notifications is wonky or this is intentional.

Anyways, I don't see anything unusual in my settings.

I don't like how Mastodon handles notifications, there have been times when there is a badge next to it and I check it, only to find out it's the same reply, because just checking the notification doesn't automatically mark it as read, I have to explicitly mark it as read.

I'll check the settings to see if I'm missing something.
