Regarding the stock market, it was a challenging week as growling bears snapped at defensive bulls. Despite this, it was a net positive that indexes closed above their intraday lows.
$NASDAQ performed poorly, falling -0.6% and ending the week in the lower half of its trading range. However, it closed higher for the sixth time in the last seven weeks, with a gain 0.6% gain.
$SPX closed at session highs but still fell -0.2% for the second consecutive week. $DJIA and $RUT did better on Friday, rising 0.4% and 0.2%, respectively.
