@governorkeagan be aware that #nixos is a one-way ticket. Once you passed a certain point of configuring your system, and being able to reinstall most of it without having to repeat 2 office days of manual setup, you will have trouble using a regular distro again.
@chrism I see the use for devenv, if and only if you have some services you like to manage aside. But not for bare path or library dependencies. And also I really don't see value in the impure requirement, which to my knowledge still hasn't been fixed
@chrism I fail to see how this is different from a `mkShell` you maintain, and they only use plus their native tooling
@chrism learning `mkShell` is a thousand times simpler than learning devenv with all the modules, bells, whistles, you usually do not even need or use...
@chrism it's called `mkShell`!
@wyndon when will this stop... `flake-parts` + `nix-systems` is all it needs...

@ku1ik what do you mean by flake input here?

Standalone and system module are both possible with flakes, as they are with channels.

@mcfly the trick is to not rely on a single of those things but distribute your backups/longtime storage across them.
@Animortis @davidak not all immutable linuxes rely on containers. That's why some folks don't even think about #nixos or #guix as immutable...
