He/him. Content Crater. Game dev.

Dutch, ex-USA green card holder. I love my wife and our two cats.

I haven't made progress in a week or so because I'm stuck on some UI work and it just didn't feel very motivating. Gotta bite through that and then continue with more fun stuff.
@DarkestKale you have to establish a turn order in a *turn-based RPG*, lol. People can do it differently with Speed stats or with Initiative, Surprise, etc, but “just have all the players yell what they’re going to do” sounds like a recipe for disaster
@KevinWho is your monitor high refresh rate? Maybe you can set the monitor down to 60Hz and see if that helps?
Didn’t touch grass today but I did touch the Atlantic Ocean
@oops_thatwasclose @SirTapTap newer variants have gotten a bit weaker while they’re a bit more effective at spreading. Alpha variant basically gone entirely.

The English suffix "-ard" (as in "drunkard", "laggard", "braggard", and "sluggard") is used to make adjectives into deprecating nouns.

"He's drunk" is just a description.
"He's a drunkard" is a moral judgment that finds the subject lacking.

The same process turned "he's wise" into "he's a wizard".

"Wizard" was the medieval equivalent of "smartass".

Baldur’s Gate 3 has been eating up my life. So much fun! But combat is very difficult sometimes.
As in, you have to pay if you receive any package, import fees and taxes.
Annoyed that receiving any goods from outside the EU costs money, this makes sourcing things much harder and more expensive.

NEW: Hackers are infecting players of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" with a self-spreading malware worm.

It appears the worm is spreading inside game lobbies where there's at least a player whose computer is already infected with the malware.

The malware is on VT: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/cb000abed31b92b4f3f895a633ef0ffaf01a1be0dfc73619acf98c1605a5999d/detection
