NeuraBSD: Pure BSD excellence. It all begins with a graphical installation via CoreSeed, followed by system boot through the DaemonPath boot manager, and finally the AxonSurface desktop environment. Engineered for the next generation of BSD users.

The Neura Chronicles

Act I: The Glow of the Tube (Part 1/2)

Back then, an idea was born. A vision of a desktop that combined the power of Unix with the simplicity of a modern interface. I didn't call it NeuraBSD back then. It was the precursor to everything I do today. A project that started so grandly... and one that, years later, would almost lead me to never touch a line of code again.

But before we get to the failure, we need to understand how the dream was born.

The Neura Chronicles

Act I: The Glow of the Tube (Part 1/1)

It's the mid-2000s. The only light in the room emanates from the flicker of a bulky CRT monitor. Back then, the world of operating systems was still a playground for adventurers. While most were content with what was presented to them, there was that one moment – that spark: The realization that a system could be more than just a tool. It could be a philosophy.

I remember the first attempts to understand the kernel. It felt like opening the hood of a supercar without being a mechanic. But the drive was stronger: I wanted a system that didn't feel like a foreign object but like an extension of one's own thinking.

🌀 NeuraBSD: The Foundation is Laid.

Building an OS isn't an overnight task, but today, the architectural blueprint for #NeuraBSD has been finalized.

The core structure is in place: 🔹 CoreSeed: Our gateway to the system (Installer). 🔹 DaemonPath: The bridge between hardware and kernel (Boot Manager). 🔹 AxonSurface: Where design meets performance (Desktop Environment).

All built upon the rock-solid foundation of OpenBSD 7.8. The skeleton is ready for the first lines of code. The journey truly begins now!
