For a non-DIY, professional looking, and flat-packable air cleaner that's great for both travel and stationary usage, here's the $150 AirFanta 3Pro:
https://amazon.com/dp/B0CJTYWQBT
It's capable of box fan amounts of clean air delivery at much lower sound levels, and it takes up less space while being just as good against smoke and viruses.
Also, it's perfect for folks who don't want to deal with taping all the edges together or who want something that looks more like a product and less like a project.
Further digging into this... under the very specific situation of "Have controller plugged in and connected, install the Windows 8 PDP Controller package suite available on their website and the controller will work... for as long as the controller's connection persists."
I emailed PDP about this very specific issue.. and they told me to check Fortnite... a game i don't play, or Rock Band 4, a game not available on PC for the DRIVER problem of Windows not being able to recognize the controller.
Got a PDP Riffmaster Guitar (Xbox/PC version) and plugged it into my Win11 desktop PC... for it to.. not do anything.
A few moments of digging, I found a driver download and was like 'hah, i remember having to dig for drivers in the 90s early 00s'
And voila, it works! Clone Hero away!
I should be able to easily replicate this on my laptop.. right? ...right?
Three hours and several reinstalls later, i can get Win11 to recognize the controller exists.. but not that any button works >:(
Listening to the AP Eclipse Feed, there's a citizen scientist that was interviewed in Carbondale, IL, at SIU.
I swear he was interviewed by Derek from @LoadingReadyRun 's
QWRP series the vocal similarity is uncanny.
Picked up GamePass last week and browsing through the selections i saw that Crackdown 3 was an option.
This series is what first convinced me to get a Xbox 360, and it 100% knows what it is.
An over-the-top power fantasy about semi-vigilante semi-super hero violence with just enough of a story justification to make it not be egregious.
It's stupid, but it's fun, and i enjoyed the little bit of time i got to spend semi-leaping over buildings while laser/flamethrowering baddies.
