Of course you dreamt it up, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t heard it too!
Sorry, not helpful, you got me on this one though, never heard it, and I’m an old dude from the scene. Also I have been reading all the books and haven’t seen anything, but hopefully someone has and posts it here!
And he did again wonderfully on 5/17/25 and I was 20 feet from him.
So many. Someone just asked this in the form of “if you were a time traveler and could see any show what would it be.” My answer to this 99% of the time would be RFK 6/10/73 for many reasons but it’s not my absolute favorite and that answer would change day to day as well.
Here is a list of the shows I love and listen to often:
2/14/68 11/08/70 2/18/71 2/15/73 6/22/73 12/06/73 2/23/74 6/18/74 5/8/75 6/9/76 Anything from 1977 when I’m in the right mood Most of 1973 anytime All of Europe 72 8/7/72 (of course) 12/01/79 80s is good background music for me when I am working outside or driving. 12/28/90
I went to 6 shows total all in 1990 including the New Year’s Eve run into 91. 12/27, 12/28 and 12/30/90 are all amazing shows for the later years, and are not heard enough.
Happy Cow Palace (74) day!

Highlights in my opinion: Casey Jones, Cassidy and that Playin>UJB>Morning Dew>UJB>Playin monster!
In Recognition of Europe 72
This is one of my most prized possessions. A childhood friend custom cut and painted me this Hammerhead skate deck last year to recognize my childhood love for skateboarding as well as the Grateful Dead. I traded him a brand new deck from the 90s that I had still in the wrapper from a company he loves and 40 bucks. That’s about the same deal we would have made as kids. I love the music from the Europe 72 tour and he’d did such a great job. I’m listening to the monstrous Other One from 4/11/72 and feeling groovy. https://archive.org/details/gd1972-04-11.sbd.jackson.smith.94377.sbeok.flac16 [https://archive.org/details/gd1972-04-11.sbd.jackson.smith.94377.sbeok.flac16]
A very interesting today in Grateful Dead History...3/21/1973
So I use the attics app to listen to shows from the archive and at the top it lists the shows from today. I usually play a 70 or 71 in the background while I work and save the 73 for a walk or run. Today after bong I was doing yard work and thinking intently while listening to 3/21/73 Utica show. After me and Bobby McGee, I noticed the intro to Weather Report and thought huh another Bobby song? Went to grab my phone to look and just as I did. DE DUH DE DUH…Darkstar? And then I looked at the list, sho enuff, Weather Report Suite Prelude > Dark Star > Eyes of the World > Wharf Rat https://archive.org/details/gd73-03-21.sbd.cotsman.5072.sbeok.shnf [https://archive.org/details/gd73-03-21.sbd.cotsman.5072.sbeok.shnf]
