The BJP on Wednesday received a drubbing in its own bastion when the Congress won the Nagpur Zilla Parishad elections, bagging 30 out of 58 seats. The Congress’s victory assumes significance as Nagpur is the home turf of former chief minister and the current leader of opposition in the state assembly Devendra Fadnavis and Union minister for surface transport Nitin Gadkari.
