I've seen bridge and tunnel systems, but this is ridiculous. Later on this trip we drove through several tunnels almost 6km in length. #croatia #hrvatska
More than a little behind! Zala Beach, on the island of #Krk in #Croatia (#Hrvaska). Please read the alt text for details.

We headed out to see an old church, but it's off-season and the road was closed. So we checked out the beach and drove past Roman ruins and ancient Roman or Illyrian walls. The roads through little towns often narrow to one lane as they were built along the mountain sides and the sea hundreds of not thousands of years ago.

Views of #Krk Old Town on Krk island in #Croatia (#Hrvatska). The town dates back to Illyrian times.
The fourth (and last) of several posts (I'm limited to twenty photos per post) from the #MuseumOfLostTales in #Zagreb #Croatia (#Hrvatska). These are all the work of one artist, and based on Croatian folktales. In one of the posts you will see a map of where the tales come from. In another the artist and his dog. Many of the works have doors and drawers that open to show miniature scenes.

Note that from a Mastodon client, you will probably only see four photos. And elsewhere (eg. Facebook) you may only see one. So click through to see the rest.

Food from #Zagreb and #Opatija #Croatia #Hrvatska hotels.
The olive oil is amazing. Later we may go to the countryside to do tastings. This one was almost grassy, and had a peppery bite at the end.
