I will be deleting/blocking everyone who comments on other videos regulating this one so don’t bother. If you feel the need to post a response, do it on your own account. Here are responses to the three comments you’re going to make over and over. 1. “The plot is anti-discrimination.” I addressed this in the video, actually. It’s not. It engages with biological essentialism and does not unpack it in a meaningful way. We really need to talk about media literacy because it goes beyond just accepting the text for what the writer says it is, when you watch a film you can actually make your own opinions. You are not engaging with the text in a critical way, you are just regurgitating the stated moral without unpacking how they get to it. Using animals as an allegory is a flawed premise to begin with. That was my ✨entire point.✨ When they decided to use animals, which do have clear biological difference in terms of things like aggression, etc, as an allegory for race, they played right into conservative tropes and worldviews. 2. “Disney is liberal.” Disney is a multibillion dollar corporation, actually. But their films have a range of plots. They have some films that have quite progressive messages (Bugs Life, for example) and many with very conservative messages (Song of the South, the Incredibles, etc). 3. “This is a bad take” “This is a reach.” etc This is not an argument. You’re not critically engaging in a conversation at all, and I don’t know why you are trying to even waste my time. You’re an idiot.".
