Something that just dawned on me is that as a lefty, we are engaged in asymmetrical warfare from a framing perspective. We will get smeared as open borders and abolish law enforcement when a majority do not believe in such, but the right will bitch and moan endlessly when we correctly identify horrendous policy positions that they do believe in. It's complete bullshit and you need to call out smears as vigorously as they do when it happens and not back down from pointing out truth.
