On Friday night, Jake Withers won 35 of the 36 faceoffs he took. The 35 faceoff wins is a new single-game record. Withers beat the former record of 31, set by Trevor Baptiste in 2019 and tied by Withers in 2024.
Friday's Halifax/Georgia game featured the Thunderbirds coming back from a 10-goal deficit to tie the game. Even though they ended up losing the game, the comeback is the biggest since stats became available in 2005.
The NLL tracked each game's three stars from 2015-2022. Dhane Smith was one of the three stars 15 times, the most of any player. He was also named first star more than anyone else, 10 times, while Curtis Dickson was named second star 7 times and third star 6 times.
A player has scored 17 or more power-play goals in a season 14 times. The only player to do it more than once is Robert Church, who had 17 in both 2016 and 2024 and an NLL record 21 in 2017. He shares the record with John Tavares, who had 21 in 2012.
