Need help naming/finding something to stabilize two of these together at a distance of between 6"-12" apart. - Lemmy.World

Like the title, I have a small DIY project where I’m going to put a gerbil tunnel system connecting two of the enclosures in the image together. Because the transparent window is thin clear plastic they aren’t really strong enough to handle any force at where the tunnels will connect to the windows. So, I want to put stabilizing bars connecting both enclosures together at their frame. I’m thinking like a 1”x1” hard plastic bar, that’s 6”-12” long, at the corners of the window that lock into square plates that have three sides lifted (“c” style) to slot and lock the bar into. I don’t know what this would be called. Idk where I would find it. But, this seems like something I’ve seen before and should exist. Does anything come to mind?

If I can’t find something that snaps in, I’ll measure the circumference of the bowl and insert one of these bad boys split or cut to permit water to flow into the bowl. Is there a circular clap that pushes outward instead of clamping inward that I can insert in this?

My dog tends to splash a lot of water out of the dog bowl, unless the splashes are deflected by the rim, in the event of a lower water level. I’m looking to find a DIY product that is somewhat ‘A’ shaped, and can be snapped onto the existing rim of the bowl. I need key words or ideas for items I can search for and purchase. I’m looking for something rubber and flexible, sort of like the cable floor trip protectors or pipe insulators, but again ‘A’ shaped where the bottom can wrap around the rim itself. Does anyone have any ideas?

Any ideas for metal dual flush actuators?

Any ideas for metal dual flush actuators? - Lemmy.World

I’m not sure Home Improvement is the correct sub for this, but I’m looking to replace my dual flush actuators with metal ones instead of these chromes plastic ones that corroded due to the bleach fumes from using bleach bricks in the tanks. I’ve stopped using them, but I still need to replace the actuators or buttons and I want something more robust.

Where to find campaign 1 podcasts? - Lemmy.World

The old podcast channel was changed back when they separated from Geek & Sundry and I’m not able to start the beginning and rewatch/listen to the show that way. It says ‘temporarily unavailable’. Has anyone found an easy work around?

The sensitivity for clicking a link and opening the link in your browser is too high. I’m constantly being redirected to my browser while trying to scroll through the top page. Can we at least have a toggle-able option to open links directly from all or opening the thread first where we can then click the link and be redirected? Or lower the sensitivity on opening the link and redirecting us to our browser?
